DHI Water, Environment & Health is a technological service institution in the field of consulting and research. It has offices in Europe, USA, Australia and Asia. DHI brings in more than 30 years of experience in coastal Water ecology, numerical modeling of benthic ecology and effects of restoration efforts.
Senior Scientist Erik K. Rasmussen (coordinator of WP 4, participant in WP 2, WP 3 and WP 5) has worked with ecological modeling for 25 years and participated in EU or Danish funded research projects either as modeler or as coordinator of model work packages. He has participated as ecological modeler in several interdisciplinary international projects making master plans (Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Bulgaria, Kaliningrad) or environmental impact assessments (bridge, tunnels, power plants, marine wind mill farms).
Senior Scientist Flemming Møhlenberg (participant in WP 4 and WP 6) has a research background in ecophysiology and -toxicology. At present his main research area is on system analysis of coastal ecosystems with emphasis on how natural and human pressures affect structure and function. He has been coordinating national and international research project, being member of committees evaluating large research projects.
