De uddannelsesmæssige perspektiver for NOVAGRASS vil være inden for forskningsundervisning af kandidat- og ph.d.-studerende. Der vil være fire ph.d.-studerende tilknyttet projektet. De vil blive involveret i forskning og oplæring i frøhåndtering (Aarhus Universitet), frøsåning (University of Southern Danmark), frøplantevækst (Københavns Universitet) og modellering (DHI, Syddansk Universitet Danmark). De involverede ph.d.-studerende vil fokusere på deres primære forskning, men deres oplæring vil omfatte ophold og forskningssamarbejde med erhvervspartnerne. Denne kombination af forsknings- og erhvervsuddannelse i modellering og teknologisk udvikling relateret til miljø- og naturvidenskab vil helt klart øge de ph.d.-studerendes fleksibilitet og styrke deres værdi på arbejdsmarkedet.

Det forventes, at et betydeligt antal kandidatstuderende fra de involverede universiteter vil gennemføre deres afsluttende specialer i forbindelse med NOVAGRASS-projektet. Der vil være ubegrænsede muligheder for forskningsbaserede projekter med praktiske og anvendte elementer i samarbejde med erhvervspartnerne. Et sådant samarbejde vil forbedre chancerne for relevante jobs efterfølgende.The educational perspective of NOVAGRASS will be focused on research education of MSc and PhD students. There will be four PhD students assigned to the project. They will be involved in research and training on seed handling (Aarhus University); seed broadcasting (University of Southern Denmark), seedling growth (Copenhagen University); and modelling (DHI, University of Southern Denmark). The involved PhD students will focus on their primary research, but their training will include stays and research collaboration with the industrial partners. The combined research and industrial training in modeling and technology development related to environmental and natural sciences will clearly increase the versatility of these PhD’s and strengthen their value on the job market.

It is anticipated that a significant number of MSc students from the involved universities will conduct their final thesis work (“speciale”) in association with the NOVAGRASS project. There will be unlimited possibilities for research based projects with practical and applied elements in collaboration with the industrial partners. Such collaboration will improve chances for relevant jobs after finishing their MSc degrees.
